This is a good app but It keeps on crashing It is also the reason I get the screen with giant power button when I try to restart my computer.

This app is clearly based on mPlayerX but its way more stable than mplayerx for me. The only thing I miss is Lion-style full screen mode. Id appreciate it if this feature is implemented in the next release.

This app really works well. It plays my video collection (many formats) with no problems. However, I really dont like the fact that once you install it, it becomes your default player without your consent. Whats more irritating is, its menu has the option to change it as a non-default video player, but the button is not working. Basically, you cant change back to quicktime or other application as a default video player. So, its really a shame and it shadows all the greatness inside the app. I want to say to developer, you should think about change this function. otherwise, the app wont go long!

I have tried many video players to date. NONE, have worked as well as SplayerX. This is a great app and deserves everyones attention and at least a try. You wont regret it !!

hello this app is not the best for me, when i try to play a .mov from my finder it plays the movie, but does not play the correct audio, i get a loud sattic noise at full volume up, and when i get this loud noise in the midlle of the night, that is very disturbing for everybody. i threw this app in the trash, i cant afford nieghbour complaints about loud stattic noise . sorry !

Anybody have this program trying to highjack your computer to make it the default player…with no choice. Deleted it…don’t trust it

Plays all formats like VLC and it finds subtitles automatically. what else do you want?

Need a player that can play in full screen on one monitor and a playlist control on another. The Windows version of SPlayer does that but this Mac version does not. I am disappointed. It does not play SWF file as I was hoping it can. The audio plays in some file but no video. It plays other formats fine. Just a player.

When I am trying to play a 3G .mkv file, it stops automatically, and then I tried with other similar mkv files, the same results. I guess it only happens when I play with full sreen mode. I have 16Go memory on my computer, I think its a bug, hope it could be fixed soon.

quite happy with the windows version, so purchased this one without hesitation when searching for a player for mac os playing BDMV folders, and then surprisly found it DOESN’T do that. Played a .mkv file on my MacBook Pro with 4 core i7 and 16G memory, not smooth at all!

i dont know why this app is worth 1.99$, its always crashing especially when u use a hard drive.

Excellent App when viewing videos. It is easy to use and well worth its cost.

works great, no problems at all.

This is a good aplication to view videos not supported by quicktime, but isnot as elegent or smooth as quicktime.
